Modern and funky, yet calm and polite

It is always hard to pick the right typography for a project as it is one of the key elements of the whole spectre of brand concept. Text is one of the main pillars of the business visual core and we have a big respect for it.

We choose GT Flexa font by Swiss Grilli Type Foundry and used Estender Regular and Bold in graphics, in digital and on the website.

Colourrrrs!

Static Green – This brilliant green hue is a symbol for electricity – it’s the crown jewel of the colour palette and really stands out (perhaps even too much!). We use this very static colour to emphasize key points in graphics, and core messages from content.

Dark Gray – Despite of using pure black we used dark gray, which matches perfectly with Static Green. Gray is supporting colour so he powers up green and stays calm in the background as a partner.

Light Gray – Light gray is also supporting colour to separate different blocks and subjects which we otherwise would do with white. So, this gives us some flexibility. Light gray is softer than white, it supports the colour package so the main graphics and messages could be on or with green or white.

Flexible typograpghy

Clear messages need a flexible typography. We chose the well balanced sans family Play, which is available in Google Fonts, both desktop and webfont possibilities. We mainly used Regular and Bold thickness, but overall the whole perspective of the font family is available.

Font usage for PNL is quite wide, reaching out both in digital and physical form (prints, clothing, signage etc.), and we use texts with colour filling but also strokes to separate texts with different meanings or levels of importance.

Our previous visual identity needed an update, Sviiter did it! Sviiter team gathered our thoughts, created a new visual and gave it content. Disc golf clothing for Kristin Tattar & Silver Lätt

Production and sales

All the shirts were made in cooperation with Estonian shirt maker Särgivabrik and got ready just in time before Kristin and Silver flew to their tour of the United States. The shirts were really popular and generated loads of interest in US Open and other public events they participated in.

Unfortunately, these shirts were custom made only for them and not for sale on any terms. We have responded to all who wrote to us and have been suggesting to follow Kristin and Silver on social media.

Estonian Internet Day 2019

How do you do, .ee?

The main focus of that year’s event was the wish that we wanted a free internet but got something else. Is data some mystical creature generating profit for its master? Is the government like our mom and dad in the digital world? Who should protect us against ourselves and technology? How to take the news that Youtube might close down in Europe? And can we find the answer to a long lasting question – “Who is smarter, the egg or the chicken – you or your child”?

The main idea of Estonian Internet Day 2019 was to gather the Estonian Internet society, discuss and give an effort to develop Estonian Internet in general.

Baltic Domain Days

Estonian Internet Days 2019 also hosted the Baltic Domain Days. The event included several national domain concerns and developments in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

What we did

Our goal was to create the full visual to suit both Estonian Internet Days and Baltic Domain Days

Foam letters – we created several sets of foam letters to brighten up Kultuurikatel. with Baltics domains (.ee, .lv, .lt) and hashtags so the guests could share their thoughts with certain tags and links.

Keynotes – All the presentations and welcoming slides received our visual and were used as part of the interior and lightning.

Gifts for guests – All participants got our poster calendar, where the year started after the Internet Day and ended when it was time to go to the next year’s event.

Gifts fo speakers – All the speakers got a small box of .ee macrons. The box was designed to the theme of Kait ja Kalle .ee (Nate and Kate) from the explanatory video series nateandkate.ee.
